The Old Town Hall was founded in 1338. On the ground floor a tourist information office and a hall decorated with allegories of Prague are. The Astronomical Clock from the beginning of the 15th century predominates the town hall. Every hour people gather to watch a procession of twelve Apostles and Death ringing the bell until a cock crows and the show is over. A lower part of the tower is decorated by twelve round pictures of zodiac made by Josef Manes. Now they are replaced by copies.

House At the Stone Bell (Dum U Kamenneho zvonu)

A beautiful Gothic house At the Stone Bell is situated right beside the Kinsky Palace. It belongs to the most wonderful medieval houses; originally it was Romanesque, then it was rebuilt. The house was a residence of Czech queen Richenza, a wife of Wenceslas II. You can take a notice of a sign of the house: it is a bell on its external corner. Nowadays a gallery and a small public library focused on books about art occupy the house.
